I just Love this CD! The songs just keep pointing you to God. One of my favorites is "Give me that fire" oh my goodness that song is awesome.
One of the best ever Dec 27, 2008
I've always liked Ambassador and thought he was a nice "Christian Rapper," but this album transcends him to a level on par with the greatest emcees of all time. I've always loved hip-hop and when I became a Christian, I was satisfied with Cross Movement and company, but I never thought that Christian rappers were on par with what I used to listen to (secular). But this album has changed my mind completely. It is so good I dare anyone to compare it to any of the top selling artists in the secular genre. I let some of my friends who usually don't like "Christian Rap" listen to it and they loved it. My mom loves the song "Gimme Dat" and she's not much of a hip-hop enthusiast. If you are a lover of just beats and don't really listen to the lyrics, then you'll love the sound of almost every track. If you are a lover of lyrics as well as beats then you are really in for a treat. Abassador makes reference to pop culture, gospel songs, and living the Christian life in an esoteric way. I have around 50 or so Christian Hip-hop albums and this ranks in the top three. The album will challenge you to grow up, and strive for discipleship. I have only a few minor gripes with the album. There were a few really good beats that I thought weren't used very well because of the subpar chorus. This includes "Checkin' for My God" and "Hope Man." There was also a disappointing cameo by Da T.R.U.T.H. Some others that are featured on the CD is Stephen the Levite (who is outstanding) and Lecrae and Trip Lee (who does a descent job). There are also a few hidden tracks that will not disappoint. If it were not for a few songs that were not produced to perfection (mostly the chorus) and a few disappointing cameos, this may have been the greatest hip-hop CD that I have ever heard. I definitely recommend it. The focus and message of the album is a great one. Our main focus is discipleship. We need to get out our Bible and study. Now lets chop it up.
Non stop awsome lyrics Dec 26, 2008
Man this guy cant stop delivering bangers with his third solo album he focuses on christan's growth in the word, thus milk to meat. He has a awsome album from the beginning to end he delivers. Tracks that stand out the most to me is; The chop chop (which is him saying lets break this down to you), Checkin for my God remix fea. Lecrae and Trip Lee (where they go into aspects of God like his mercy and grace and misbeliefs that christans have in them), Gimme Dat (one of my fav, a banger that explains that you can have the flash he just wants God you can keep the change), The day I met U (a smooth track that explains his growth in the word and mistakes that made him who he is today), and Love & Gace fea J.R. & Da Truth (this track is setup by J.R. and made noticeable by truth's and ambassador's lyrics) now im not says other tracks aint banging no, but those stood out to me the most. Others like talk a lot (stephen the levite never disappoints) and Whatchu goin' Do? are bangers too. In all this album is a must have because we need to grow and this album states it through and through.
Disappointed Dec 22, 2008
For those of you who have read my reviews, you'll know that I have been critical of previous Cds The Thesis & Christology. So why buy this, his third CD. Well, the title, from Milk to Meat, had me intrigued. I thought that he might have abandoned his hook oriented efforts of the past, to delve into something deeper, a la Shai Linne, or Evangel, or the usual releases coming out of the Lampmode label. Alas I was wrong. To these ears this is a continuation of the previous two joints, that whilst not awful, doesn't do much for me. If you, like the stuff from this artist that has gone before, than this will definitely be your thing. If you are expecting a departure and something solid to get your teeth into, you may, like me, end up disappointed.

It's a high-end beachwood cutting board with a mini chef's knife built right in. Together they just scream out Chop Chop! This trompe loeil cleaver is perfect for prep, for parties or for display.
