 | A Book that will change your life Feb 1, 2010 |
| This is a must-read for every Christian. Practical, funny anecdotes about every day Christian living and sharing your faith with others. It changed my way of thinking. It is a book I will read again and again. | | | | Life-style Evangelism Made Simple Jan 20, 2010 |
Many believers feel ill-equipped or unmotivated in reaching the lost for Christ. Herein popular and seek-friendly apologists Lee Strobel and Mark Mittelberg use interesting and entertaining stories from their own witnessing adventures as they present a devotional-style volume that provides a charming and appealing motivation to share your faith with non-Christians. In "The Unexpected Adventure: Taking Everyday Risks to Talk with People About Jesus," the authors prompt the reader to embrace easy-to-follow steps in cultivating a unique personal-style evangelistic approach. Strobel and Mittelberg are professional gentle-approach defenders of Christianity and they will teach you, from their own successes and mistakes, how to step out and share the gospel with those in the marketplace and people you have a relationship with.
This volume employs a genial method to win the lost to Jesus Christ. This is not the evangelistic process and comportment that Ray Comfort, Michael Horton, and Charles Spurgeon advocate, but is offered as a way in which the timid and slightly self-conscious believer can begin to share their faith with confidence.
This simple-read consists of:
- a 42 day long reading application design (read a chapter daily) - motivation for outreach and encouragement to walk in an evangelistic life-style - ideas to apply for relationship-evangelism
This 304 page book is breezy and can be a way to begin a life-style of witnessing the truth of Christ to the unsaved. Letter to an Atheist Nation: Presupositional Apologetics Responds To: Letter to a Christian | | | | Unexpectedly Entertaining Dec 28, 2009 |
| This book is comprised of little vignettes to demonstrate the various ways you can share your faith. The stories are funny, insightful and touching. Yet, the message is a challenge that God wants to use us wherever we are, whatever our level of spiritual knowledge and that we just need to be available. The most impactful part for me was to prepare a clear, concise message in my mind of why I believe what I believe and that God will provide the opportunities. | | | | Good examples for witnessing Oct 29, 2009 |
| This is great book to help people to see that reach witness experience is different every time. It shows that is important understand that witnessing one person one way does not work for a different person. It also encourage people to take action in our lives and to see when a witnessing experience is infront of us. It also reminds us the importance of apolgetics in reaching people for Christ. That we have to reason with people why they can believe and trust God and the Bible. It also reminds us if we are going to witness that we have to do it with gentleness and respect. Read this book and other books by Lee Strobel and Mark Mittelberg. | | | | Very encouraging for folks who are scared at the thought of evangelism Sep 3, 2009 |
| I liked the approach of this book. For someone like me, who really shies away from talking about their faith, it was a good encouragement--both to do so when the opportunity arises and to realize that you don't have to be an expert to do it. I particularly liked the stories that showed that people could authentically share their faith with others without having all the answers. That was great to hear--since I sure don't have them! | | | Write your own review about Bktrax-Disc-Unexpected Adventure
