| This book is full of fabulous looking recipes, and all of them have a picture! That is a key factor in my choosing cookbooks, and this one really comes up on top. To me, the recipes really are "essentials," at least most of them. There are some obscure ones, but that's just the same for almost any cookbook. | I made two recipes in the cookbook. I followed the recipes word for word and instructions that were provided. First one was pumkin pie on page 380 section desserts; recipe tasted terrible- center filling was soggy & pumkin didn't have any flavor whatsoever. I wouldn't defiently make this again, very poor recipe. Second, one was fish & chips on page 150 section fish & shellfish i personally didn't like the flavor and appearance of the finished dish; it was soggy and batter was raw. In my opinion Williams & Sonoma products the ones i've purchased are far better than their cookbooks. I'll get rid of this book altogether, I'm better off without it. As with any cookbook the writer, author or whoever writes these cookbooks don't give the public their "secret" recipes, that's the way it is they keep them to themselves.
